Oil well no. 49 of the oil company "Astra Romana" from the Ochiuri field ( Dâmbovita county ) was the first well that reached the oil layers of the Meotic formation. These layers yielded over 85,000 wagons of crude oil in the course of 2 years (1925—1927) of 16 wells, which is, on average, more than 5000 wagons of well oil.
