On February 19, 1923, around 5.30 p.m., oil well no. 1 Sospiro Campina Draganeasa belonging to the company “Forajul” and installed on the land of the company Sospiro from Vârful Drăgănesei oilfield, exploded during eruption. During production tests a spark ignited the well and whole area around it. Two drillers were killed, and Anton Raky and his son Anton, lawyer Pauker, and engineers Walter Lind and Aker were among those burned. With the exception of lawyer Pauker, who left for Bucharest after receiving medical care, the other injured remained in Câmpina, under the care of Dr. Popescu
